Since the polling so far leads at a split in the group, we're just going to go ahead with both Steampunk and Valentine's Day contests at once.

Valentine's Day Contest
Entry due date: February 14th (it's a sunday!)
Rules and Explanation: For the Valentine's Day contest, we'll be trying to showcase LOOOOVE and all of the happy things that tangle up within it. Flowers, candy, simple dinners out, or elaborate silver-age style set-ups to catch the one you love, this should be a holiday to remember with the Rogues!


Steampunk Contest
Entry due date: March 15th (beware the Ides of March!)
Rules and Explanation: For the Steampunk contest, we'll be trying to showcase the amazing pseudo-period style of the Steampunk world. Think the Victorian age and the Industrial revolution (even the Wild West of the Americas) plunged into pseudo-science and steam-powered goodies! With so much to draw from, it's easy to get lost in it all (and amazingly fun)

And if you'd like to look a little closer at what the sprawling genre of 'Steampunk' is (and something far more concise than my ramblings), here are some simple resources to help start you off on your journey.

For this contest, we're looking for skill and creativity within costume design, and general shenanigans of the time period. Is your Rogue a running a gritty operation on the streets, were they a high-flying captain of an airship? Do they draw more influence from Victorian frills or grungy mechanical part? There's a lot to do! Go and have fun with it!

For EITHER contest, you can enter as many submissions as you want, just so long as the Rogues are the main focus of your entry. As well, art and fic are BOTH encouraged, as well as any other genre of creation you can think of. Though, the more entries we get of each kind, the more likely we are to break the contest into tiers (i.e. "Winner of Best Pic", "Winner of Best fic", etc) for each contest.

Winner for each contest will receive a badge to display on their profile and as well, we gladly accepted donated prizes from other authors/artists to give to the winners. Do you draw/write but don't want to participate? Want to help out? Tell us and we can put you on the list to donate prizes to the contest winners.
